I was born into an era when science and technology were developing fast, and I consider the debate among these disciplines very important. However, my primary focus has always been on our existence as human beings since we bear the responsibility of making the world a better place in our lifetimes. I see science and technology as supporting and stimulating our development as individuals and social beings.
 
Two essential factors drive my work and my studies in Architecture, Urban Design and Psychology: "movement" and "experience". Both speak to the relationship between space and ourselves.
 
The design and perception of space, and our wellbeing within it, are vital topics that have informed my research and creativity. Since 2000, I have worked with Immersive Virtual Reality (IVR) for architectural planning, using the interactive three-dimensional immersion it provides to better grasp and conceptualize the space.
 
With IVR, we can create a habitable area between wellbeing and space that connects concept and reality; in so doing, we can experience noticeable differences that enhance architectural values. Henceforth, IVR simulations will become important planning and decision tools.
 
Technology is not a goal in itself but a means for achieving our aims in sustainable development and enhancing our individual experience. Technology allows us simultaneously to present and resolve a problem in each generated world: it enables us to judge it on our own and with others, and to modify it without losing its essential character.
